How to make sense of a "rhythm-within-a-rhythm" - how to hear them and apply them as well as how to use that knowledge to change meters using a common pulse.  Explanations, demonstrations, real-world examples and a free pair of plaid oven mitts.

Writing Drum Charts
Focus on understanding drum set notation and learning the difference between full drum charts, drum transcriptions and arrangement charts.  Learn to notate such functions as ensemble kicks/figures, repeat signs, multiple endings, dynamic markings, texture markings like hi-hat opens, specialty cymbals/effects and easier ways to go about writing them.
